Funk!

I dont really have any time to right about this right now, I will later, but FUNK is the word for today! I have to go to class but I will add to this!

I'm Alright.

Okay well it was one of those days. I'm alright though. It was one of those ridiculous days where you're kind of mad at first but it gets to that point where you just have to laugh to yourself and try to see through to blue skies. It started with me waking up late this morning, during the first week of classes. Parking is bad at Mt. SAC but during the first week it's impossible. Actually my plan for the morning was to wake up early and get some studying done, grab some food and secure a parking spot and get to class on time, not too unreasonable I think. Well I basically got ready and was out the door in 15 minutes ( yes, I did shower but no, I did not make my bed). I arrived and found a meter spot in Egypt, paid my respects to the Queen on the way to class and found myself sitting with 5 minutes to spare. Praise God I made it. Then after class let out, literally as I stepped outside the building, it started to rain. This is when hilarity walked up and shook my and said "You're alright." I laughed out loud and began my journey back to my car (in the rain haha).

I guess what I have learned through this is just "roll with it." I guess there are times in life when things don't quite go how we want them to but if we are just a little flexible, resilient in that funky wind (utot?) that blows every now and then it wont hurt as bad. I know this was just a little hiccup in my day but sometimes those little things affect me the most. I don't get as mad when I trip over a tree than when I trip over a twig...you get the point. God is there in the little things and the big things, it's just a matter of remembering and reacting like God is watching out for us. It makes a difference...anyway got to prepare my set for tonight because I'm leading.=)

Here is what I did Wednesdays before I started school. The best part was the company, the girl (not in the picture)sitting next to me.<3

Second Day Spring 2010

Alright, so this the second time I have logged on the internet at Mt. SAC it was amazingly fast so I think they really fixed it! I'll know for sure though if this lasts to next week.

Well my Political Science class seems pretty legit so far. I think it will be an interesting and pleasant break from numbers and calculations. I feel really lucky to be able to focus most of my time learning rather than having to work really hard right now to find a job or struggle with both work and school. Praise God my parents are financially supporting me through this! I really hope this all pays off in the end though. I don't want to be one of those people who go through all this school and still end up with the kind of job they went to school to avoid in the first place!...God has a plan though.

God. I really hope I can make an impact in some lives this semester. My goal is not to act how I think a Christian should act but to just be real. I need Jesus everyday just like everyone else does. I don't have everything figured out, I don't have all the answers but I know He cares and is mighty to free people from deception and living empty, loveless lives. God help me to be real and really love

I wish I could bring my new hobby along with me to visually chronicle my first few days of Spring 2010 but I don't have a case and I don't want to carry more than I need to haha. oh well... anyway...

I miss Bianca.

First Day Spring 2010

Wow! I was really dreading the end of my winter break and the beginning of a full semester of classes, surrendering my life to textbooks, deadlines, and exams. I'm sitting here waiting for my first class to open it's doors and allow us to pick the seat which I'll most likely sit in all semester and I decided to write a short update. First, I must mention that Mt. SAC has notoriously slow internet...I mean SLOWWWW. So I opened my notebook thinking it would take forever to even open the login page when instantly my browser window filled with the tan and burgundy colors of the Mt. SAC portal! Praise GOD!!I hope they really fixed that. This will definitely increase (...hmm) my productivity while I'm stuck here during my long breaks. Anyways this is the coolest thing that has happened to so far...

Spring 2010

My new semester starts in just a few hours. I'm not really looking forward to it but I trust God will get me through. I really loved my short week of relaxation and feeling carefree. Life is short. I'm extremely tired right now but I just want to start a record of sorts, hopefully of my last semester at Mt. SAC. We will see how everything works out...goodnight for now!
